rome wasn't built in a day, and you can't make a website, without looking at a few others first!

Inspirations

• the pencil texture filter on the vines and background is taken from this page by blogspot user Here Dragons Abound
• the background color is inspired by elysia's webhome
• the progress bars for languages are taken from sleepybunny's user site
• the process bar colors are from tumblr's default color scheme
• the custom selection color is inspired by a post by tumblr user kitkatcodes! they also have a web site!!
• the flagmaker is inspired by this post by tumblr user winsaykophum!

Straight up texture theft (in minecraft)

• the chains, which hold up my posts, are taken from minecraft. specifically, i used the item texture and edited it to tile perfectly.
• the post frames, used with the aforementioned chains, are an edited version of the frame texture from the October 2021 version of sadgrl's website. yes, they look completely different, i think it was the Sharpen or Morphology effect from Paint.NET and a bunch of hue shifting.
• the background on the occult pages is taken from sadgrl's tiling collection
• the fingies animation is taken from the petpet generator
• the gears animation is taken from this codepen

Fonts used

• the main text is styled with Verdana
• the progress bars on the main page are Courier New
• the occult pages use Libre Baskerville as their main font!

As you can see, these are all very much Microsft-y fonts, so are unlikely to work on anything other than Windows. I didn't include them as TTF files, because i was too lazy, and i'm not even sure if that is legal? Maybe i should switch to similar/alternative "open source" fonts.

But i do have sans-serif and monospace fallbacks defined, so it's not totally broken!!
